Ahead of the Music Business Worldwide A&R Awards on 7 November, we’re taking a closer look at the fantastic nominees for Producer of the Year.

In what is our seventh year of association with the awards celebrating the UK's best A&RS, labels, publishers, managers, songwriters and producers, we're proud to again support the Producer of the Year category and the amazing group of nominees including Billen Ted, Catherine Marks, Fred Again.., Jae5, Lostboy, Mark Ralph, Mark Ronson, P2J, PRGRSHN, Steve Mac, Kid Harpoon and TMS.

 
Up first, British producer, mixer and songwriter Mark Ralph.

With 13 No.1 records and six Producer of the Year nominations under his belt, this year has seen Mark work on projects with Jazzy, Becky Hill, Martin Solveig, Babyqueen, Anne-Marie, Shania Twain, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Kasabian, Jax Jones and many more.

Spanning a wide range of genres over the course of his career, he is known for his contributions to records from artists including Years & Years, Clean Bandit, Aitch, Georgia, Sub Focus, Rudimental, Plan B, The Snuts, Gryffin, Zara Larsson, Tom Walker, Eats Everything, A1 x J1, DJ Regard, Sam Ryder, Rag'n'Bone Man and more.
 
 

What was the most fun you had in the studio this year?

"Most fun in the studio this year was Anne-Marie and Shania Twain recording vocals together for Unhealthy.. they really hit it off!"
