A new collaboration between UK rap duo Krept & Konan and punk band Slaves is revealed at Abbey Road Studios through the Masters of Potential music partnership with Hennessy. Entitled Masters of Potential, the programme blends together unexpected artists from different genres and backgrounds, to create truly unique musical recordings at Abbey Road. The first artists to be brought together were Mancunian soul singer JP Cooper and musical poet Kojey Radical.
We now welcome Krept & Konan and Slaves, working together for the first time, the artists seamlessly fuse hip hop and punk to perform 'Told You/The Hunter', a fiery anthem, laced with the urgent energy of both genres. Abbey Road Studios mastering engineer Christian Wright said:
Live to vinyl returns to the very origins of recorded music. In fact, its how Abbey Road first started in 1931 with a live performance by an orchestra or performer without multiple takes and mixing. As vinyl continues its massive resurgence in the era of streaming, live to vinyl celebrates the format by capturing a unique and authentic moment for fans to enjoy.
