Yara Lapidus' sophomore release 'Indéfiniment' recorded in Studio Two

23rd May 2018
Heartfelt, poignant and completely intoxicating. Indéfiniment, the sophomore studio album from French-Lebanese songstress Yara Lapidus, is out today. Produced and composed by the Grammy and Oscar award-winning Gabriel Yared, both share a passion for creating simple and captivating love songs, the crux of which is their musical work together. Yared's work includes scoring masterpieces such as The English Patient and Cold Mountain.

"The starting point was the timbre of Yara's voice, for which I composed my melodies. From there, her words came naturally and a general theme emerged: Love, explored from a different angle for every song. This album that I composed and produced is the quintessence of my musical universe" - Gabriel Yared

The project is the culmination of two years of writing, followed by sessions taking place over five months between Paris and Abbey Road's Studio Two. The pair enlisted the help of forty-three musicians throughout the recording process to bring the album to fruition. Part recorded in Studio Two,with an engineering team comprised of Pete Hutchings, Toby Hulbert, Kirsty Whalley and Cecile Tournesac. Listen to the hypnotic Depuis Toi.

Furthermore, Yara's family share a strong connection to Abbey Road. Father-in-law Ted Lapidus, was a close friend and personal designer to John Lennon, designing the white suit adorned by John Lennon on the cover of The Beatles Abbey Road.
