Born in Birmingham, Nia is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound engineer. After completing a degree in music at Goldsmiths University of London, Nia received a scholarship to the Abbey Road Institute studying sound engineering and production.
In addition to hosting a monthly radio show on popular London-based platform Balamii, Nia has developed a career freelancing in studios across London (including Young Space, The Room Studios & Premises Studios) working with artists such as Nia Archives, Robyn and Joe Armon-Jones.
Since starting at Abbey Road, Nia has had the opportunity to work with artists including Jordan Rakei, James Blake and Ezra Collective. She’s also played a key role in this year’s Abbey Road Equalise; a series of panels & hands-on masterclasses aimed at the next generation of female and non-binary artists and creatives.
