From studying the violin and piano at the Royal Northern College of Music Junior School and then completing a degree in music at Royal Holloway University, Lewis followed his dream of working in a recording studio by getting a job at Lansdowne Recording studios, London in 1999.
Thrown in at the deep end, Lewis was quickly assisting on all kinds of sessions from jazz, TV scores and bands to large scale film scoring projects. In 2006 Lewis joined Abbey Road Studios where he has continued to flourish as an engineer.
Building strong working relationships with other engineers and composers, Lewis has enjoyed working as an assistant and engineer for many of the top film composers. These include:

Lewis says of being at Abbey Road: “I love the variety of projects, the amazing recording spaces, the best collection of microphones. One day I’m in Studio One recording the best orchestras and choirs, the next day I’m in the Gatehouse studio with Hip Hop and Grime artists! The history of Abbey Road and being associated with it, goes without saying.”
