Callum’s journey into music production and engineering started at 15, when his bass teacher accidentally opened Ableton Live during a lesson. After this chance encounter, every free hour he had was consumed with trying to master the software.
After three years making songs with friends, Callum realised he had to take this further to advance his skillset and ability. At 18, he enrolled on the Sound Technology degree course at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
Whilst studying, he had the opportunity to spend time assisting during residential studio sessions at Real World and Angelic Studios. After graduating from LIPA in the summer of 2021, Callum began his Abbey Road Institute scholarship which involved studying for a year at the Institute on the Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering course and a year of learning the ropes as a runner at Abbey Road Studios.
Since joining Abbey Road, Callum has worked with artists including Pink Pantheress, Surf Curse, Idris Elba, Okay Kaya, Yaya Bey & Hinako Omori and assisted film score composers such as Brian Tyler and Gareth Coker.
