Andy’s first introduction to recording studios came from playing in bands throughout his teens. Experimenting with different sounds in the studios sparked a passion in him which led to him applying for the Tonmeister course at the University of Surrey.
Whilst studying at Surrey, Andy got involved in the town’s small electronic scene. Him and his friends would organise nights where they would DJ to showcase music they were passionate about, as well as music they were making themselves.
As part of his degree, Andy spent a year working at Angel Studios in Islington, London. This allowed him to sit in on a variety of sessions and gain an understanding of how large scale orchestral recording sessions were run.
He joined Abbey Road Studios in January 2018 and was quickly promoted to Senior Runner. Since joining the team, Andy has been involved in some significant projects including the mix sessions for Beyonce and Jay Z’s Everything is Love, as well as co-engineering Brockhampton’s U.S. number 1 album Iridescence.
