With an interest in classic and progressive rock, musicals and orchestral music, Alex’s keen interest in analogue recording techniques started from an early age. After leaving school he completed a degree in Music Production studying at BIMM in Brighton.
During this time, he also worked as a live sound engineer in small music venues around Brighton.
After moving to London in Autumn 2019, he started working at The Arch, a small characterful analogue recording studio in North London. Here he started working with 8-track and 2-track tape machines, and used these skills to record sessions for folk, alternative rock and reggae artists.
Alex joined the archiving team at Abbey Road in October 2020.
