Both kits were painstakingly recorded at Abbey Road using period equipment and techniques to deliver those definitively 80s sounds, from edgy new wave to big-budget power metal. We even sampled both kits through the now infamous STC ‘Ball and Biscuit’ microphone via the E-series talkback limiter – the ultimate ‘happy accident’ that inspired a decade of massive drum sounds!
