The International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA) have announced the results for their 2008 Scoring Excellence awards, and we're delighted to say that a number of scores recorded or mixed at Abbey Road are among the winners.

Javier Navarette's score for Inkheart, recorded and mixed at Abbey Road, won Best Original Score for a Fantasy/Science Fiction Film.

Andrew Lockington won Breakout Composer of the Year for his two high-profile scores in 2008: City of Ember, recorded and mixed at Abbey Road, and Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, mixed at Abbey Road.

Carter Burwell's score for the Coen Brothers' Burn After Reading, recorded and mixed at Abbey Road, won Best Original Score for a Comedy.

Additionally, we would like to congratulate long-time friends of Abbey Road Danny Elfman and Alexander Desplat, who won Film Composer of the Year and Film Score of the Year respectively.
