Alex Wharton's Biography

Alex joined the studios in 2003 from SAE London after achieving a distinction in audio engineering, gaining valuable experience and a good grounding in all aspects of post production work for both new and older catalogue items. As transfer engineer his work included multi-transferring from a variety of digital and analogue formats in the demanding, fast turnaround department of post-production. Having graduated quickly to the role of mastering engineer, Alex now works with the complex equipment and traditional methods required to produce 'skilled' lacquer & copper mastering. He is equally proficient at mastering digital CD singles and albums. He has worked on many projects including UNKLEjam, Babyshambles, Chemical Brothers and Bjork.
